Jim Maibach started in commercial real estate with Peyco Properties Inc. in 1985.
Throughout his career, Jim has been involved in over 40 development projects, totaling
over 1,500,000 square feet of real estate. In 2000, Jim founded and became president of
Peyco Southwest Realty Inc., which now leases and manages over 2 million square feet
of industrial/commercial, retail, and office space in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
     Over the past 30 years, Jim has been involved with, and remains active in,
numerous business and professional organizations in Arlington and Tarrant County. Jim
served on the City of Arlington’s Planning and Zoning Commission for 6 years (1997 –
2003) giving him the experience of working with City officials and becoming
knowledgeable when dealing with planning, platting, and zoning of different properties.
Jim has served on the Tarrant County Appraisal Review Board (1991-1992) gaining
valuable experience and knowledge of how to fight property tax valuations. He
previously served on the Arlington Parks and Recreation Board for 4 years (2003-2007).
Jim served on the AISD Education Foundation for 10 years and was President of the
foundation from 2005 to 2007. He also served on the Board of Directors for the
Margarita Society of Arlington, which supports disadvantaged youth in Arlington. Since
2011, Jim has served on the City of Arlington Convention and Visitors Board, which is
now known as Experience Arlington. Most recently, Jim was appointed to the Executive
Board of Directors for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce after serving off and on the
Chamber Board for 20 years.
     From 1996 through 2010, Jim served on the Board of Directors for First Savings
Bank in Arlington, which later changed its name to Southwest Securities Bank and then
sold to Southwest Securities, FSB. As a bank director, he learned what it takes to get
projects financed and underwritten to meet Federal guidelines.
     Due to his track record of leadership, creativity, integrity, and success in the
Arlington Community, Jim has received a number of honors and awards throughout his
career. Jim was recognized by the Star-Telegram Newspaper as Man of the Year in 1993
and has also been the recipient of the Tom Vandergriff Leadership Award presented by
the Young Men of Arlington for his outstanding commitment to the City of Arlington.
     In 2008, Peyco Southwest Realty Inc. was awarded Outstanding Small Business
of the Year by the Federal Agency of the Small Business Administration.
     Jim’s knowledge of the market and his networking throughout the metroplex has
made Peyco Southwest Realty one of the leaders in commercial real estate industry in the
Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
